Install
Garage door installation
Measured, ordered and hung by our own fitters. A standard residential install is usually a one day job.
Chapter 01
It starts with a measure, not a price list
Opening width and height are the easy part. Headroom above the opening, backroom behind it, and the space beside the jambs decide which track you can use and whether a standard lift will work at all. Low headroom garages need a different track, and that has to be known before anything is ordered.
Estimates on new installations and replacements are free, and there is no obligation attached to them.

What the day actually looks like
Standard residential garage door installations typically take one day to complete. The old door and track come out, the new sections go up one at a time, the track and springs are set, and the door is balanced before the opener is connected.
Balance is the part people never see. A correctly sprung door should stay put when you stop it halfway by hand. If it does not, the opener spends the rest of its life doing work the spring was supposed to do.

Our own people, in marked trucks
Every technician on your driveway is a direct Crawford Door employee. We do not subcontract installations out, which is why we can be specific about how they are done.
All of our technicians arrive in clearly marked company trucks. If someone claiming to represent us turns up in an unmarked vehicle, call the office and check before you let them onto your property.
