Residential garage doors

Steel, insulated, carriage house and full view glass, measured to the opening you already have and matched to the house it sits on.

Chapter 01

The door is the biggest thing on the front of most houses

On a typical elevation the garage door covers more surface than every window put together. That is why a door that does not suit the house is so obvious, and why matching the panel design, the colour and the glazing to what is already there matters more than the brochure name of the model.

We carry Clopay, Invicta, Guardian, Ramco and Napoleon Lynx. Between them that covers flush and raised panel steel, long and short panel, carriage house designs with decorative hardware, and full view aluminium and glass.

Insulated or not is a real decision, not an upsell

If the garage is attached to the house, shares a wall with a room you use, or has anything in it you care about in February, insulation is worth paying for. An insulated section is also stiffer and quieter, which matters on a double width door.

If the garage is detached and stores a mower, it usually is not worth it. We will tell you which one you are, and we will give you both prices so you can decide rather than guess.

Chapter 03

Matching a door to an older house

Southeast Michigan has a lot of housing stock older than the standard opening sizes, and a lot of it has character worth keeping. Brett Redwood, our Vice President, took a Bachelor of Architecture at Lawrence Technological University, and that shows up in how we approach this work.

Carriage house designs, panel proportions and decorative hardware can give an older home the right look without going back to a door that swings out or needs a person to lift it. Security and insulation do not have to be traded away to get there.
