Chapter 01
The dock is a system, not a collection of parts
A loading bay is a leveller, a door, a seal or shelter, bumpers and usually a restraint, and they all have to work with each other and with the trailers that actually arrive. Replacing one item without looking at the rest is how bays end up half working.
We supply, install, service and repair truck dock systems as part of the same commercial division that handles the doors above them.

Levellers and the bumpers nobody looks at
Mechanical, hydraulic and air levellers all fail differently, but the commonest cause of a leveller problem is worn dock bumpers. Once the bumpers are flattened, trailers sit closer than the design intended and the lip geometry stops working.
Bumpers are cheap and are almost always overdue. They are the first thing we check on a bay that is not behaving.
Chapter 03
Seals, shelters and keeping the weather out
In a Michigan winter an unsealed bay is a hole in the building for as long as a trailer is on it. Compression seals suit consistent trailer heights, shelters suit mixed fleets and wider tolerances.
Torn seal fabric and collapsed foam are ordinary wear items. Replacing them costs less than heating the yard.
