Chapter 01
The commercial version of a familiar door
A commercial sectional works on the same principle as a house door and is built to a different standard. Heavier gauge steel, commercial grade hardware, larger bearings, and springs rated for a duty cycle measured in tens of thousands of openings rather than a few thousand.
Glazed top sections are common on service bays where the crew needs light and a view of the forecourt.

Spring cycle life is the number that matters
A domestic spring is typically rated around ten thousand cycles. On a bay door that opens forty times a day, ten thousand cycles is under a year. Specifying a higher cycle spring at the outset costs a little more and changes the failure interval completely.
When we quote a commercial sectional we ask how often the opening actually cycles, because that answer drives the whole specification.
Chapter 03
Operators, not just openers
Commercial openings use jackshaft and trolley operators sized to the door, usually with three button control and often interlocked with other site systems. Safety edges and photo eyes are specified to suit the traffic through the opening.
We service and repair what is already there as readily as we install new, including doors from manufacturers we do not currently sell.
