Traffic doors built to be hit, for busy internal openings where nobody is going to stop and use a handle.
Chapter 01
Designed around the fact that people will not stop
Between a kitchen and a service area, a stockroom and a shop floor, or two halves of a warehouse, nobody carrying a tray or pushing a cart is going to put it down to open a door. An impact door accepts that and is built to be pushed through.
Double acting so it swings both ways, self closing so the opening does not stay open, and flexible so a strike does not damage the leaf or whoever made it.

Vision panels are a safety item
A double acting door between two busy areas needs a window, because two people pushing from opposite sides at the same moment is otherwise inevitable. Panel size and height should suit the people and the equipment actually going through.
Where traffic runs one way, marking the door and the floor accordingly cuts the collisions further.
Chapter 03
Specify for what the opening is
A cold store opening wants a gasketed, insulated leaf. A food area wants a surface that can be washed down and will not harbour anything. A general warehouse opening mostly wants to be tough and cheap to repair.
We will match the leaf, the hinge type and the gasket to the traffic and the environment rather than fitting one standard door everywhere.
